New Students Orientation

Welcome to IMU University! Here, you will find all the important information pertaining to the orientation activities and other crucial information for your enrolment.

Orientation Overview

Congratulations, and welcome aboard! We thank you for choosing us as your university to begin your tertiary educational journey, and we are committed to providing you with quality education, support, and wonderful experiences along the way.

Here is where your journey begins!

Students are advised to be prepared ahead of time so that you will enjoy a smooth orientation and are ready to embark in your studies.

Parents are encouraged to attend the Enrolment Day for the Foundation and Undergraduate programmes.

Please read through below checklist so you get ready for your Enrolment Day.

IMU Student Email Address Activation

You must ensure that you have completed the steps in Accepting Your Offer before you can access:

  • IMU Student Email Address
  • MyIMU App
  • E-Learning Portal
  • ODL Portal
  • Library Portal
  • Other local and remote software

After completion of the offer acceptance process (also known as the matriculation process), students will be given a system-generated matriculation email to activate the student email address and to submit photo for the Student ID.

Please be noted that email activation must be completed at least a day prior to Enrolment Day.

Student ID

All IMU students must submit a passport-sized photo that will be used in the Student’s Microsoft Account and the IMU Student ID.

IMU Student ID is an official identification card issued to students as a proof of a student’s enrolment and identity within the institution. This card will grant you access to facilities inside campus and most importantly to enter IMU building.

After completion of the offer acceptance process (also known as the matriculation process), students will be given a system-generated matriculation email to activate the student email address and to submit photo for the Student ID. Please click the link specified in the email for the photo submission process. Alternatively, you may also use the link below:

Submit Photo

Please take note on the following:

  1. Students must follow the specified guidelines for online Student ID photo submission.
  2. The guidelines are mentioned in the submission page.
  3. Adhering to these guidelines will help ensure that your photo meets the desired standards for clarity, professionalism, and visual appeal.
  4. If your photo does not meet the specified guidelines, your submission will be rejected, potentially causing inconvenience as it may delay your Student ID application process.
  5. The photo submission is only eligible for students who have passed the matriculation process. Students who do not receive the matriculation email should not submit the photo as the photo will not be registered in the system.

Admissions Procedure

As part of the completion of the registration process, students must ensure that:

  1. All required payment for the tuition fees has been made.
  2. All documents, both electronic (soft) and physical (hard) copies have been submitted to Admissions Office, or you may submit all these required documents on the Enrolment Day at the Admissions Registration Counter. Please refer to the documents list here.
  3. Students will only be enrolled in Semester 1 of your programme after completing the conditions above.
  4. Students who do not complete the payment and submission of the documents will not be eligible for enrolment and subsequently cannot attend the classes.
