Termination and Abolishment of a Club
The SRC or SSH reserves the right to terminate the operations of a club should the club fail to comply with regulations of the University or law of Malaysia. All activities of the club must take into consideration of harmony and sensitivity of students and the general community. No activity should potentially bring threat to the university’s good name or anyone’s image.
Clubs may be terminated or suspended due to the following criteria:
- Dormant for 6 months
- Failure to organize at least 1 major and 2 minor event each year without a valid reason
- Club’s representatives absent for TWO consecutive BOC meetings
- Late submission of event reports and financial reports of more than TWO consecutive times
- Clubs consisting of less than 20 members including subcommittee members
- Failure to organize Annual General Meeting (AGM) to select the new committee
The president of a club, with consent from other committee members can choose to close his/her club.
When a club is to be abolished:
- The president must obtain the Abolishment of Club form from the respective SRC or SSH
- Club must hand in financial report as per time of abolishment and settle all the outstanding loans with the SRC Treasurer
Inactive clubs shall be suspended after sufficient warnings given and shall not be allowed to be revived for a period of one year. Clubs can appeal with valid reason.
