We have an in-house Pandan Serai Café that caters to both students and staff. Whether you’re in the mood for a snack, meal, or light refreshment, the café offers a wide range of healthy food options, including a variety of vegetable dishes, all specially prepared by our dedicated chefs. You’ll find Malay, Chinese, Indian, Western, and Japanese cuisine available. The café has also earned the prestigious Healthy Cafeteria status from the Malaysian Ministry of Health.
Mad Alchemy and He & She Coffee

For coffee, dessert, and kopitiam drink lovers, we have the famous pop-up store Mad Alchemy located at our Driveway. We guarantee that its affordable prices do not compromise on taste or satisfaction. If you’re feeling thirsty while studying, head to He & She Coffee inside the library for a light snack, creamy coffee or smoothie, and desserts to satisfy your cravings.

The culinary experience in Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur, is incomplete without a visit to a Mamak Stall. And we have one right on campus. Our Mamak Stall features an outdoor, open-air setup and serves a variety of halal Indian cuisine. They offer a selection of Roti for breakfast and teatime. By the time you finish your studies here, you’ll be familiar with the phrase, ‘Teh Tarik Satu’.

IMU also offers another outdoor dining space known as the Chill Out Area. This area features two charming stalls: one serving the famous Nasi Kukus Ayam Berempah (Steamed Rice with Spiced Fried Chicken), and the Mr. G Park Kiosk, which offers a variety of Western dishes and teas.

On the LG Floor near Pandan Serai, we also offer grab-and-go food options. You can stop by Subway or Family Mart, which offer a variety of mixed foods, available 24 hours.

The IMU cafeteria is located at the back building, near the student parking area. It is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate approximately 60–70 people at a time. There are two food vendors operating at the cafeteria: Koperasi Keluarga Haji Abdul Latif, offering Malay cuisine, and MLSvin Enterprise, serving Indian food. In addition, there is a Mamak Corner and a Chinese Corner to provide a wider variety of meal options for staff and students.

The Malay Corner, operated by Koperasi Keluarga Haji Abdul Latif, offers a variety of traditional Malay dishes. Popular options include nasi lemak, nasi campur (mixed rice), fried noodles, and local favourites such as ayam goreng berempah and sambal-based dishes. The menu changes daily, providing a balanced mix of meat, vegetables, and vegetarian options, all served at affordable prices. It’s a popular spot among students and staff for its authentic flavours and generous portions.

The Coffee Place is a coffee and non-coffee beverage stall located behind the IMU Cafeteria in the outdoor “Chilling Zone.” It offers a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, all priced at only RM6 and served in generous-sized cups. It’s a popular spot for students and staff to relax and enjoy affordable refreshments. Perfect for unwinding, having quiet conversations, or taking a refreshing break surrounded by nature.

A vending machine is conveniently located on Level 3, near the link bridge to HTJ (Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar) and the guard post. It offers a selection of snacks and drinks and supports cashless payments, making it easy for students and staff to grab a quick refreshment on the go.
