Shuttle for Awareness: A Badminton Tournament for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month
Join us for “Shuttle for Awareness”, a badminton tournament organised by the ATHENA Society and the IMU Sports Club in support of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.
This event combines sports and health education. Participants will enjoy friendly badminton matches while learning about cervical cancer prevention, HPV vaccination, and the importance of early detection. It is a fun way to stay active, build teamwork, and support women’s health.
The tournament also aims to strengthen the bond between students and staff, while giving student volunteers a chance to grow their event planning skills.

Medical students and staff from IMU Clinical Campus
Expected Number of Participants:
96 participants (Students and Staff combined)
Categories:
- Men Doubles: 16 pairs
- Women Doubles: 16 pairs
- Mixed Doubles: 16 pairs
Participant Fees:
- RM 5 per person (RM 10 per pair)
- Maximum of two (2) different categories per player
Objectives:
- Raise awareness on cervical cancer as a preventable disease.
- Encourage friendly competition and teamwork between students and staff.
- Build event management skills among student volunteers.
- Motivate participants to share cervical cancer awareness with others.
- Promote a healthy and active campus community.
Prizes🏆:
All participants will receive an e-Certificate & light refreshments
- Champion: RM 80 + Gold medals
- Runner-up: RM 50 + Silver medals
- 2nd runner-up: RM 30 + Bronze medals
