I’ll Be There For You

If you are feeling lonely and struggling, and you would like to join a group who feels the same way you do, read on below.
For whom?
This is an open support group for all the IMU students.
Reason?
Transitioning to university life can be helpless, lonely, and incredibly pressured sometimes, it is important to have the right support during these challenging periods in life.
When and Where?
- Group is available once in April, May, June, July, August, and November 2024.
- Venue: 2.06 (SCU), Meeting Room 1, BJ campus
- Time: 4:30pm-5:30pm or 5:30pm-6:30pm (depending on the day you choose)
- Attire: Adhering to the school requirement
What to Expect?
- Meeting people who have the similar experiences
- A quiet and private space for the group to share, talk, work on a collective art piece, ice breaking games.
- A facilitator (a SCS counsellor, or a peer supporter) who helps to guide the flow of the conversation/ activity.
- Nature of the group: not a mandatory session, peer-forming dynamic
- You will receive a reminder to join the group a day before via student email
- You will receive an anonymous feedback form to help improving this space
- Confidentiality and privacy terms and conditions applied.
Notes:
A reminder will be sent to your student email/ TEAMS 1 day before your chosen date.
An email will be sent to you if the session is cancelled/ schedule is changed.
Students who did not register but wish to join are welcome to walk-in.
